Mr. Chum Sovannaly was born in August 1964, in Bakan District, Pursat province. After he had completed his associate Law Degree in 1988 he joined military court as a clerk. He passed Bar Exam in 1995 and became member of the Cambodian Bar Association. In 1996 he joined with the Cambodian Defenders Project. He represented a lot of serious and political cases such as CFF cases, Case of Born Sam Nang and Sok Sam Oeun (His name is the same as Director of the Cambodian Defenders Project). In February 2007, he was promoted as Coordinator of the Legal Awareness Program of the Cambodian Defenders Project. |
