Financial Department The Financial Department is responsible for the smooth financial running of CDP, adherence to budgets, and the organization's accountability to funders. In managing all financial and accounting aspects of the organization, the Department maintains careful control over all expenditures, monitors performance against budget, and ensures that all accounting complies with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and funder requirements. The Department participates in strategic planning with the Executive Director to enable the achievement of CDP's goals within financial and budgetary constraints. The Finance Department's ultimate achievement is a positive result from the upcoming independent general audit and evaluation of all CDP's activities.
