Mr. Hong Kim Suon was born on 15 April 1958 at Khum Kampong Svay, Srok Sisophon, Battambang province. Mr. Hong was a nurse working with IRC in Khao I Dang Refugee Camp form 1989 to 1993. After he had repatriated back to Cambodia he joined Khmer Krom Human Right Association in Battambang as Vice President. In early 1994, Mr. Hong was selected by the Cambodian Defenders Project to train to be Criminal Defenders. In 1997 he was passed the Bar Exam and became lawyer and member of the Cambodian Bar Association. From 2000-2003, he was selected as member of CDP Executive Committee. For 2006 and 2007, he is selected as member of the Cambodian Bar Council. Since 2006, he has been promoted as Team Leader of Phnom Penh Team of CDP to supervise nine lawyers. He represented many serious cases of CDP. |
